Discover the Beauty of Traditional Box Skylights

Skylights are an investment in your home or business that will pay dividends in beauty, energy efficiency, and safety for many years to come. Give yourself a front-row seat to the sun, clouds, storms, and stars of South Florida as you minimize your need for electric lights during the day. Thinking about selling in the future? Hurricane code-approved skylights are a selling point that may just set your house apart from others.

At Corad, Inc. we offer a wide range of box skylight options for both residential and commercial spaces. Whatever your budget or desired style may be, we have skylights to suit your unique needs:

How to Choose the Right Skylight

Selecting the right skylight means finding the right size, shape, mounting style (curb-mounted or self-flashing) and material (polycarbonate or impact glass) for your property. The mounting style, shape, and size of a skylight are major aesthetic factors that can impact the overall look of your project. Material choices also come with aesthetic pros and cons and may impact overall skylight cost and lifespan.

Your HOA or condo association may have rules governing what kinds of skylights you can install. Let us help you navigate the decision-making process and get your project approved.

Discover Bright Cost-effective Tubular Skylighting

Tubular skylights channel light through the entire length and at the same time preserves the intensity of the light, with the interior acting as a continuous mirror while capturing the daylight on your roof, and carrying it to the inside of your home. Light tubes bring natural light into your home in ways artificial light sources cannot and can be added anywhere there is 6 meters or less between your ceiling and your roof. The flexible and rigid tunnels provide installation flexibility. Flexible tunnels can be used when the angle between the roof and the ceiling is too small for a rigid tunnel. Rigid tunnels deliver a straight shaft of light for when the ceiling is placed directly under the exterior window.

Furthermore, traditional skylights don’t use light diffusion or diffuse reflection like tubular skylights do. Light diffusion helps spread the light out over the entire room vs only shining down on areas where the sun directly shines through.
